Indore Marathon is divided in to two parts, mini marathon called as Dream Run and other normal marathon called as Equality Run. Mini Marathon usually consists of 3 km run which is for the candidates below 16 years. This is for less time period and starts after the main marathon. Equality run is covered over 11 km which is for the age group of 16+ to 45 years. Senior citizens are also invited in this run but precautions are compulsory. Generally Indore Marathon starts early in morning and ends within the time frame presumed.

To attract people for this Indore Marathon, organizers have introduced cash prizes for the winners in each category. Both men and women are awarded these cash prizes in Equality Run. Each individual becoming winner receives cash prize of Rs. 20000/- while runners up get the prize money of Rs. 10,000/-, Rs. 5000/-, Rs. 2,500/- and Rs. 1,000/- respectively as per their position in result. The categories are divided in the age group of 18 to 25 years, 25 to 35 years, 35 to 50 years, and 50 plus. Even they have created a different slot for military personnel to avoid any unreasonable advantage of Armed forces. Men and women winners of every category will get same prize money as prescribed by authorities.
Participants should be healthy for running in Indore marathon. They should undergo regular checkup if suffering from health problem. Take consent from doctor to participate in Indore marathon if needed. Citizens should plan their diet well before marathon day to gain more stamina and enthusiasm to complete the run.
