Parks and Gardens in Indore

Indore, though does not have much gardens and parks in the city, yet the few parks which it has are beautiful and worth enjoying.

Nehru Park


One of the very well known gardens in Indore is the Nehru park. It is the oldest park of the city and was built by Britons. The park was earlier known as Biscow park and was open only to British before independence. It was named as Nehru park after independence. It has variety of facilities to offer to the people like swimming pool, library, children’s hobby center, a mini train ride for children, battery operated drives for children, various swings and a garden to play on a large area. It is located near Regal area.

Meghdoot Garden


Meghdoot garden in Indore has recently undergone several changes. However, it was a good park to visit before as well but now it has more things to enjoy. It has various swings, a large musical fountain a garden on a large area. People can sit and enjoy for long hours. It is developed on a large area where people play and enjoy the different food. It is located at Vijay nagar near Hotel Sayaji.

Atal Behari Regional Park


Atal Behari Regional Park is the recently developed park in the city which is very beautifully developed and constructed. It is one of the most beautiful parks in the city. It is also developed on a large scale. It has beautiful sights and scenes to be enjoyed by the people. It has its own charm with lots of greenery around, flowers, plants, good scenes. It is located at Pipalyapala.

Lal Baag


Lal Baag is also included in the historical places of the city as it is actually named as Lal Baag Palace. It has a large garden where people especially visit in the morning for a walk and exercise as it has very fresh air all around the palace.
